Here's what I wrote over on my other blog Hummingbird Homemaking:

"I started my other blog Grocery Store Plan because I didn't want this blog to become all about grocery store "stuff". Now I'm finding that my life doesn't revolve around loss leaders since we started shopping differently. Beef and pork are in the freezer from local farmers. I get my Azure Standard order monthly. I will be getting eggs locally as well. It's a different kind of shopping and doesn't require it's own blog."

Shopping for Company

Just wanted to tell you that I bought $50 worth of food today. This food doesn't come out of my grocery budget. I keep our budget as low as I can during "normal" weeks.

When we have company, it was way too stressful for me to try and fit those needs/wants into my grocery budget. Now we use entertainment money, vacation money or other random money. It takes a load of stress off of me! You have to do what works for you!
